As long as you know how to achieve anything in life, you can achieve anything in life. It takes a lot of effort and luck in order to get there. However, it is absolutely possible. The person who’s the most responsible for making it happen is you.
When I first started my upward mobility journey, I was brainwashed by the media. The media loves to tell stories of lottery winners or the ones who achieved overwhelming success with seemingly little effort. Therefore, when I first started my journey, I thought something had to happen to me to get there.
I never thought that I could be the one to effect my own destiny. I was completely wrong. That’s when I started to realize my effort is the reason why my results happen, good or bad. That’s when I started to go into overdrive, working nights and weekends in order to make my dreams come true.
You can easily know how to achieve anything in life. Although I’m not quite at the finish line just yet but I know that I’m going to get there eventually. The amount of effort that I put in in comparison with the average person is enormous. I have complete faith that it will work out by the end.
That’s what’s great about your life. It doesn’t matter where you started from what matters is where you end up at. You have the power to do anything with your life because your life is one that’s worth giving it effort to and one worth fighting for.
How to Achieve Anything in Life
How to achieve anything in life? It starts by SMASHING that social share button and posting to your favorite social media! Your friends could easily use an article like this one. If it can help just one person, there’s no harm in sharing the knowledge!
So with that said, let’s go over on how to make your life be meaningful.
1) How to Achieve Anything in Life Starts With Belief
The person who has the greatest impact in your life is not your family, friends, or bosses. It’s you. Everything starts with your mindset and how you view the world. Your perspective translates into your actions that you take in order to achieve upward mobility.
Whether you think you can’t or whether you think you can, you’re right. Yes, you won’t get there if you just believe you’ll get there. But you definitely won’t get there if you don’t believe you’ll get there. How to achieve anything in life starts with you. Do you believe in yourself?
Do you actually think that you deserve a seat at the table and you belong with many others that are at the same table? Whether you don’t think you do or whether you think you do, you’re right. You can easily shape the world the way you see fit based on your mindset, especially when it comes to your own life.
2) Have Good Heroes
The rule number one of people who rose to power and greatness. NO ONE did it alone. Everyone had someone they looked up to to see what was possible before they attempted to surpass it. Good heroes mean everything in your life in the actions that you want to emulate from them.
Knowing how to achieve anything in life starts from knowing what is achievable in the first place. You may be the pioneer who soars and breaks glass ceilings like no one has ever seen. However, it doesn’t hurt when you already see someone make it be a possibility for you.
Choosing the right hero makes such a huge difference in getting you to achieve your goals. You don’t even need to meet them in person. You can easily just read up on the people you admire and respect and emulate their actions. If they can do it, you can do it as well.
3) Remain Consistent
Consistency made more people successful than any other behavioral characteristic. No one, outside of inheritance, achieved success in just a single day. However way you want to define success, you don’t get there from just one day. If it’s easy, everyone would do it.
People are going to admire you not because you can do the easy things well, but because you know how to solve problems that they don’t. Therefore, it’s putting in the hours, effort, and sweat over a long period of time in order to get to where you want and need to be.
Consistency created great people more than any other behavioral characteristic.
I consistently outputted two blog posts every single week almost for the past two years and I’m not slowing down anytime soon. I have another two years before I will evaluate whether I should be throwing in the towel on my blog or not.
However, I don’t want to ever stop being consistent and giving it a good bit of effort.
4) Focus on One Thing at a Time
You can’t fight two wars at once. Multitasking will destroy your success than anything else ever will. The easiest way to lose a war is to fight two battles at once. It doesn’t work. How did we win World War II? Not by winning a bunch of scattered skirmishes.
We won by winning the most important battle of all: Normandy. Knowing how to achieve anything in life is understanding this rule. You can’t try to be the best tennis player in the world while dividing your time between that and computer games. Sure, you’ll be great at one or the other.
But you’ll never beat one of the all time greats who solely focuses on tennis. There’s a reason why the greatest people on Earth rarely has a well-rounded skillset. It’s people who’ve put in the time to master one thing and one thing better than anyone else in the entire world.
Which isn’t easy to do.
5) Plan Ahead
If you don’t have a plan, you are planning to fail. Your life is NEVER going to work out exactly as you planned. However, you need a general guidance and direction on where you want to go. Otherwise, you will be lost in the forest wondering if someone is going to bail you out.
If you want to know how to achieve anything in life, write down goals. Think about the things that you want to accomplish in the next month or year. Then actually execute and put in the work in order to get there. Execution is everything when it comes to achievement and generating results.
No one ever hands or does things for you. You’re going to have to go out and do it yourself. Therefore, there has to be a plan of action for you to execute on. You’re not going to accomplish everything you have on your life but even accomplishing some is helpful.
Planning is how to achieve anything in life. You are more capable than you know.
6) Mentally Prepare for Failure
There WILL be bumps ahead. You WILL experience failure, it’s just a fact of life. I will experience many failures in my life on top of the already exhaustive list of failures I already went through. Knowing how to achieve anything in life means there will always be someone to oppose you along the way.
Always, without fail.
It’s not that no one hands anything to you. It’s that there’s people out there who are actively trying to take something away from you. Why? Because they want it themselves as well. We are in a hyper-competitive world where the winners have to provide results or they’re out.
There is no way that you are going to win every and all battles and wars that come your way. It’s not physically or mentally possible. Therefore, you have to mentally prepare for failures. Sometimes, you are not going to win and that you’re going to have lose to people who are better for you.
Mental preparedness matters.
7) Take Breaks Along the Way
I get it. The motivation is running through your mind and you want to achieve everything tomorrow. You want to put in the work now and forever without needing any sleep. Not so fast. Sleep will give you a great advantage over someone else who embraces the hustle culture and doesn’t get any sleep.
I’ve recently tried to fix my sleep by fixing my digestion issues. There days, I’ve consistently slept at least five hours every day. Most days I get 7 hours of sleep. That created the biggest benefit to my life that I didn’t even know that I needed. The hustle culture looks down on people who sleeps.
They think if you don’t produce, you don’t have a good life. That’s not true.
How to achieve anything in life starts with you taking care of yourself first. Everything else is secondary. You can’t figure out how to achieve upward mobility if you’re not in a good state of mind in the first place. The basics are necessary in order to get you to where you are.
8) Stop Making Excuses to Achieve Anything in Life
I get it. Life is hard. There’s been times where I felt like I was at rock bottom. It was when I felt like I was losing everything. Then just when I thought things were going to get better, life smacked me down even more with a car accident. There are many valid reasons why you aren’t where you are right now.
However, there are people who had it even worse than you who removed those excuses out of their lives and achieved what they want to achieve anyway. There are many valid reasons why you are in the predicament that you are in. Through no fault of your own doing.
However, it’s time to figure out a way out. Out of this victim mentality and into one where you put in the work to come out on top. I’ll give you a little secret. The system IS stacked against you. It’s about figuring out a way to beat it anyway. That’s how to achieve anything in life.
9) Don’t Go Too Far
Sleep, breaks, and relaxation are all necessary in the journey. Do NOT go too far. Burnout is real. If you are burned out, knowing how to get over burnout is necessary as well. When I’m burned out, I get heart burns. I don’t want to generally get out of bed and I can’t function like a normal human being.
My mindset deteriorates and my physical body deteriorates. My productivity hits an all time low and knowing how to achieve anything in life becomes the least of my priorities. Figure out your health first. I didn’t know my digestion issues were putting me behind in life so much.
Once I figured out how to solve my digestion issues is when everything started to be great. I started to be much more productive not in a forced manner but in a “I want to” manner. I’ve become much happier once I figured out how to improve my health, day by day.
You should be feeling 100% every day.
How to Achieve Anything in Life Starts With You
You are in control of your own destiny. Don’t let anyone else tell you that. Yes, the birth lottery matters. However, what matters even more is your attitude, actions, and effort. You will be the greatest contributor to your life than anyone else in the world.
If you want to know how to achieve anything in life, then you are already motivated and are making the right steps to get there. We all have goals. Ambitious goals to help us realize our number one interest in life, self actualization. Everyone is working under the same 24 hours.
There’s no reason why your friend from high school reaches all time highs while you are left behind in the dust. You have a right to reach all time highs just as much as your friend. Twenty four hours every single day over a year is a long amount of time.
What will you do with it? You don’t want to end up in the same or worse place at the end of the year than the start. You can take the steps necessary in order to move up. Slow progress is still progress. You are trying to beat your past self and soar to new heights.
After years and years of effort is when you finally realize and enjoy the benefits of results and progress. No one ever talks about it but hard work paying off feels very satisfying. To know that your efforts weren’t just for nothing. The first step in how to achieve anything in life starts with you.
